Aloha Kauai

This was my first time in Kauai and it was absolutely beautiful.  The lush landscape and the clear blue waters was my idea of paradise.  The cover-up I was wearing is one of my favorites because of the color of the quintessential Missoni print.  I have worn it with a belt and heels to dinner this is a piece that is too beautiful to only wear to the beach.

Girl's Day Out

Spent the day with the girls.  Mei had a friend named KoKo over.  They had a morning at the salon, followed by a light lunch.  We ended the afternoon lounging on the roof deck couch soaking in some sunshine.

Modern Vintage

Modern vintage....Kind of an oxymoron isn't it?  Well, the print of these pants feel vintage while the cut is totally modern.  The pop of blue of the sweater also give the outfit an updated look.

Blushing

I think my first love for blush/nude tones came from Monsieur Louboutin.  He makes the best nude shoes I've seen and ever since that, nude became another staple in my closet.  This sweater is what I consider a blush tone because it's a pinkish nude which goes excellently with my very fair skin tone.

Black, Beige & Blue

What's so interesting about this striped sweater is that the knit almost feels like a woven.  It retains shape amazingly well and will definitely be a piece that's easily worn with a pant or a skirt and with a variety of prints and colors.

Off White Blazer

The fabrication of this blazer is def more for the winter because it's thick and wool.  But it works for Bay Area summers because it never really gets that hot.  The lime and the off white looks fresh and clean, which is just right for the season.

Summer Evenings

It's amazing how late the sun stays shining during the summer.  I wore this outfit to an early dinner.  I wanted to look dressier, yet still easy and comfortable.  I love these stretchy jersey skirts because it's forgiving, even after an extra large, yet delicious dinner.

Black Florals

I must say, these floral pants have been very versatile.  I can pair it with almost any color and it works.  Not to mention, they're quite stretchy and comfortable...perfect for a day on the go!

Shorts and Ballet Flats

When I wear short shorts during the summer, my rule of thumb is that I NEVER EVER wear heels with them.  It's just too much leg and I'm too old to be getting hollered at by random men on the street.

Therefore, a nude, lady-like ballet flats is the best alternative pairing to my shorts.  It's sexy but still tasteful.

The Great White Denim Search

I don't know how it is for you guys, but finding denim for me is generally a difficult task.  My requirements are  :  skinny, hits and the ankle, skinny at the ankle, minimal wrinkling at the knees and zero camel toe.

Sooo, when it came time for me to look for a white denim for summer, it was a nightmare.  I think I tried on about 25 pairs of white denim in 4 retailers.  Just when I was about to throw in the towel, I found a pair that was perfectly skinny but cuffed.  Upon inspection, I saw that if I just let out the cuff, it would be perfect.  My new white denim pants has been a welcomed addition to my summer wardrobe.
