Studded Gingham

With the sale season in full swing, I hope everyone snagged up a couple of pieces that you've been eyeing this season.  It's been a tumultuous sale season for me....I had ordered this top during the presale but was never rung up...then was informed that it was completely sold out.  Later on, I found it at NM (darker shade of grey)....but was supremely stretched out, but I wanted it so badly I still bought it.  Luckily, I was able to locate another one that was in far better condition.  I had an equally hard time locating my shoes....I literally trolled the internet daily.  My perseverance paid off because by a long shot, I got em!!

Jersey Moto

This jacket was one of my love at first sight purchases of the season.  It has all the components that I adore....Jersey, Moto Silhouette, Tweed and Raw Edge.  It's cool yet relaxed.  I see this as a key piece in my fall wardrobe.

Lace Sweatshirt

As you can already tell, I love sweatshirts because they're oh so cozy.  And because they're so casual, I usually like to dress it up with some fun shoes and chunky rhinestone jewelry.  The lace applique at the shoulders give this otherwise plain sweatshirt a feminine touch.

Simply Zebra

Another warm summer day and all I wanted to wear was something simple and comfortable.  Tees and shorts is right up my alley.  I threw on a printed cardigan and fuschia pink ballet flats to make my outfit more interesting!

M I A

It was inevitable that this day would come....I've put off having Mei's leg surgery for months now hoping that we could drag it out as long as possible.  But last night, with one jump onto the bed....she no longer has use of her right leg.  I feel so bad seeing her sad little face, limping around the house like a helpless little lamb.  She'll be going in to get her knee fixed in the next couple of days, so she'll be out of commission for the next several weeks.  Hopefully she'll be able to make some appearances post surgery.

The stripes and the strong pop of color is what I have been very drawn to lately.  The shoes are an oldie but goodie.  I really loved Gucci's Flora collection from years back. They're still very relevant and on trend right now.  It think that's a reason why I never throw anything away.

Stevie Wonder

This silk shirt was a purchase from Shanghai Tang while I was in Hong Kong.  Most of their stuff can be a bit....Chinese-y.  But I love the print on this silk blouse and the Mandarin collar is also a neat detail.

I don't usually like to take photos with my sunnies on...but OMG....but I had just gone to the Optometrist and even 3 hours later I could barely keep my eyes open.  I think even Mei found me a lil' bizarre wearing my sunnies in the house.

Kiddie Stripes

While taking my 7 year old niece out to shop at Crewcuts, it took an unexpected turn when it became ME shopping at Crewcuts.  Evidentally, I have the body of a 14 year old.  This particular short sleeved sweatshirt caught my eye because of all of the fun neon details.  I did get some weird stares from the sales ladies while I was in their dressing room.  Oh well, time to grow some thick skin.

Tie Dye

I usually associate tie dye with hippies....but this skirt is so modern and chic....I would've never thought I would be into tie dye.

Warm Lime

It was pretty darn warm today so I decided to break out one of my short sleeved silk tops.  It's funny, but I always keep one end of my body covered up unless we're at the beach. (So, if I wear a short sleeved top, I almost always wear it with pants, and if I wear shorts/skirt I'll wear a long sleeved cardi with it.)  I think it's because it gets cold at night regardless of how hot it is during the day.

Summer Blues

Stretchy pencil skirts and loose tops have sort of become my go to outfits in the summer.  I especially like this skirt because of the construction of ruching and twists on the sides.

Floral & Chinos

Chinos can sometimes come off a bit more "masculine"...therefore, I paired it with a nice feminine silk floral tee and sky high red pumps to balance out the outfit.  I must say that I am really impressed with the quality of the All Saints chinos.  The fabric is heavier in weight and also peached.  Quite nice.

Hot Texas

I packed this outfit for my weekend visit to my sister in Texas.  Normally I would never shorts and short sleeves together because I would freeze...But the forecast says 90 degrees this weekend in good ol' Dallas, so that should be no problem!
