I love pairing silk with chinos.  There's something very interesting between the femininity of the silk and the rough utility of the chinos that balances out the whole outfit.

This cashmere cardigan is so cool because of the way they manipulated the knit to become mini ruffles, that give the illusion of a strong shoulder.

Blue Garden

This is the only pair of colored floral denim I own.  I tried so hard not to get caught up in the whole super colorful floral pant trend.  But after seeing it in person, it's really quite versatile.  It has just the right amount of color.  It is after all, mostly blue.

Printed Sarong Skirt

I thought this skirt was especially different because It has a side tie, much like a sarong skirt.  The skirt itself is made out of really thin material, much like a batiste.  I love the sheerness, and there is a jersey mini skirt attached to it.  I think showing just the right amount of skin can look very sexy.

Black & Blue

I was watching an episode of the Fashion Police this morning and they did a segment on leather as a summer time trend.  Joan Rivers absolutely hated the fact that people are wearing leather as a part of their summer wardrobe.  Usually, I think she's pretty spot on....but in this case, I totally disagree with her.  I love leather shorts.  In fact, I have more than one!  I think they are appropriate for the summer and is a great transitional piece for the fall.

I really like to mix up my fancy clothing with my casual pieces.  I feel like it gives it a funky, fun vibe.  I'm much like Goldilocks and the three bears....it can't be too formal, too casual.....I like it JUST right!

Meant to be

I had my eye on these shoes ever since I first laid eyes on them years ago.  They come in a variety of colors, but the fuschia was my favorite.  I missed out on getting them during their initial markdown months ago because they were completely sold out.  

Fast forward 9 months later, saw them just sitting there on the final sale rack at Nordy's.  It was fate and without hesitation, they came home with me!  Isn't life all about timing....

London Fog

Today's weather reminded me a little bit of London.  A little gloomy, a little foggy.  Strange, since the last couple of weeks have been amazingly sunny.  That's why my sweaters never get put away...one day its hot, and the next, COLD!

Leather CoCo

Finally took this jacket out again....it's been so warm as of late that I haven't even worn it.  I thought i'd toughen up this jacket with some leather and leo.  That's the thing with a beige jacket, it's a piece that works throughout the seasons and a must for any wardrobe!

Shower

There's nothing more fun than getting all dolled up to celebrate at a good friend's bridal shower.  This dress is both dressy and casual at the same time.  I say that because the silhouette may be dressy, but it's made out of grey jersey which is comfy and casual.  I especially like the "knot" detail of the dress....it's simple yet unique!
